2024 Phoenixville Open - Local Rules

 

  • The ball will be played up in your own fairway only.  Lift clean and place, one club length, no nearer the hole in your own fairway only. 

 

  • All USGA rules are in effect with the exception of the local rules. The “One Ball Rule” is NOT in effect. 

 

  • The “Embedded Ball Rule” is in effect through the green.

 

  • Distance Measuring Devices ARE permitted

 

  • Stones in the bunkers may be moved without penalty.

 

  • Hole 4: White stakes identify out of bounds left of cart path

 

  • The fence on #5 is out of bounds

 

  • Hole 7:  Balls that enter the penalty area right of the cart bridge may use the provided drop area 

 

  • Penalty area behind #9 Green:  There is a drop area provided behind the green

 

  • Hole 14: White stakes identify out of bounds on left side of hole (in between the road and greenside area)

 

  • On the Right side of #17 (just past the fairway bunkers) is a large “burn pile”.  This will be treated as Ground Under Repair                               
  • Any ball past the stone wall on 18 is out of bounds.

 

  • Parking lot and paved areas around the clubhouse are out of bounds.

 

  • Ditches on holes 4, 6, 7, 12, and 17 are played as penalty areas.  The culvert to the left of the bridge on 12 is free relief (nearest point of relief, lift, clean and drop, one club length, no closer to the hole).

 

  • Any ball striking an inbounds overhead wire or pole must be replayed (no option) – NO PENALTY

 

  • All dirt/stone areas that directly lead to a cart path are considered part of the cart path and you are granted a drop of one club length, nearest point of relief, no penalty.

 

  • In the event of a tie, there will have a sudden death playoff at the conclusion of play. The first playoff hole will be #1 and will continue until the playoff is complete.
